As you brew your own Cranberry Coast IPA, you'll start with 6 lbs of Briess Golden Light Dry Malt Extract, providing a solid, malty backbone that supports the beer's complex flavor profile. The addition of 1 lb of Caramel/Crystal Malt 20L as a steeping grain introduces a subtle sweetness and a hint of caramel, enhancing the overall depth of your brew.
Your Cranberry Coast IPA will truly stand out with the inclusion of 1 lb of cranberry puree, which you provide, infusing the beer with a bright, fruit-forward tartness that complements the hop character beautifully. · 1 lb Caramel/Crystal Malt 20L (steeping grain)
· 1 lb Cranberry Puree (provided by customers)
· 1 oz Amarillo Hops (Bittering)
· 1 oz Simcoe Hops (Flavor)
· 1 oz Citra Hops (Aroma)
· 1 tsp Irish Moss
· 0.5 tsp Yeast Energizer
· 1 packet US-05 American Ale Yeast
Also Included: 5 oz. Priming Sugar and muslin bags
HOPS SCHEDULE
1 oz Amarillo Hops. Boil for 60 minutes.
Add 1 oz Simcoe Hops with 5 minutes remaining.
INSTRUCTIONS
Prepare Equipment:
Sanitize all brewing equipment thoroughly.
Steep Specialty Grains:
Heat 2.5 gallons of water to 155°F.
Steep Caramel Malt in a grain bag for 20 minutes. Remove grains.
Boil the Wort:
Add 6 lbs Golden Light DME and 1 oz Amarillo Hops. Boil for 60 minutes.
Add 1 tsp Irish Moss and 0.5 tsp Yeast Energizer with 15 minutes remaining.
Add 1 oz Simcoe Hops with 5 minutes remaining.
Add 1 oz Citra Hops at flameout.
Ferment with Fruit:
Cool wort to 68°F and top off to 5 gallons. Add cranberry puree to the fermenter.
Pitch US-05 Yeast and ferment for 10–14 days.
Packaging:
Bottle with priming sugar or keg the beer, carbonating to approximately 2.5 volumes of CO2.
Allow the beer to condition for 2 weeks before serving.
