It includes everything you need to replicate the taste of the classic Spaten Lager, right in your own home.

The Real Fake Spaten Lager Clone is packed with high-quality ingredients that promise to deliver an authentic taste. It includes 5 lbs. of Pilsen Dry Malt Extract, which forms the base of your brew and imparts a light, crisp flavor. You'll also find 8 oz. of Bonlander Munich Malt, known for its rich, malty sweetness, and 12 oz. of Carapils Malt to enhance the body and mouthfeel of your beer. The 4 oz. of Melanoidin Malt in your kit adds depth and complexity to your brew, while the 1 oz. of Saaz Hops brings a traditional bitterness to balance the sweetness of the malts. For aroma and flavor, you'll be using 1 oz. of Northern Brewer Hops, which adds a subtle, herbal note to your beer. The kit also includes a Yeast Energizer / Irish Moss Combo to ensure a successful fermentation process, and a packet of Saflager W-34/70 Dry Lager Yeast to achieve that classic lager taste. - 5 lbs. Pilsen Dry Malt Extract
- 8 oz. Bonlander Munich Malt
- 12 oz. Carapils Malt
- 4 oz. Melanoidin Malt
- 1 oz. Saaz Hops (Bittering)
- 1 oz. Northern Brewer Hops (Aroma / Flavor)
- 1 Yeast Energizer / Irish Moss Combo
- 1 packet Saflager W-34/70 Dry Lager Yeast
Hop Schedule:
- 1 oz. Saaz Hops (Bittering) - 60 minutes
- 1 oz. Northern Brewer Hops (Aroma) - 5 minutes
1. Heat 2-3 gallons of water to 155°F. 
2. Remove from heat and place grains in a grain bag and steep in the hot water for 30 minutes.
3. After 30 minutes, remove the grain bag and discard.
4. Stir in the dry malt extract until it becomes completely dissolved.
5. Return to heat source and bring wort to a rolling boil.
6. Add the hops according to the hop schedule. 
7. Boil for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.
8. At 15 minutes add Yeast Energizer / Irish Moss Combo Packet.
9. Cool the wort to 70°F. 
10. Transfer the wort to a fermenter and top off with cold water to 5 gallons. 
11. Pitch the yeast and seal the fermenter. 
12. Allow to ferment at room temperature (66-70 degrees F) for 10-14 days.
13. Transfer to a secondary fermenter. Let this sit in secondary fermentation at lagering temperatures (50-54 degrees) for about 4 weeks or until clear.
14. Transfer To a bottling bucket and stir in 5 oz. of priming sugar. Mix until evenly distributed and bottle your beer. 
15. Once bottled, allow 2 weeks for carbonation in a cool, dark room. Enjoy!
