Aging Guidelines for This Wine Kit
Recommended aging: 1 to 6 months after completing the winemaking process. This wine is designed for approachable, everyday enjoyment. Aging helps its flavors come together and softens youthful edges without requiring a lengthy wait. Begin sampling toward the earlier end of the range. Once it tastes balanced, further aging is optional and may gradually trade fresh fruit character for a more mature profile.
Overall rating: 4.6 / 5 from 16 reviews.

Classic Tempranillo from Label Peelers

Super kit, as always from
"Super kit, as always from Label Peelers!"
First Xpert kit- WOW!
"This was my first wine kit after brewing beer for over 10 years. All I can say is, wow! Kit had all the consumables you need to produce 6 gallons of decent wine. I'm a big fan of Spanish wine, so starting my foryay into wine making with a Tempranillo was the obvious choice, a simple and approachable varietal. I also decided to keg my wine. Using nitrogen instead of co2 which makes bottling day a breeze! Wine turned out great! I did diverge from the kit in my selection of yeast. The kit comes with Lavilan ec 1118 which will do the job but maybe a little too much. It's been said that 1118 will ferment concrete and I agree, but it tends to strip a lot of flavor from whatever you pitch it in so I opted for another strain. Everything else I stuck to the instructions. Turned out great!!! Already have my second batch bubbling away in the primary. Highly recommend!"
Label Peeler is an excellent supplier of all products for wine making
"Good prices, product in stock. Website minor issue of being able to add and subtract items at checkout. When order was ready for pickup. Email order update only. Should state ORDER READY FOR PICKUP."

Tempranillo
"Fruit forward. BlacBlack cherry with a hint of plum. Earthy nose. Starts off fruity and ends with light tannin and slight oak. Hint of sweetness in the finish from the oak. Just bottled today so time will tell. Very drinkable now. Bulk aged 3 months."
