Mid-range alpha hops (about 8% to 11%) cover many dual-purpose varieties: enough bitterness for a solid bittering addition, plus expressive aroma when used late or dry hopped. A common sweet spot for American pale ales and many IPAs.
Look here for Centennial, Amarillo, Mosaic, Motueka, Cashmere, Idaho 7, Nectaron, Hallertau Blanc, Falconer's Flight blends, Zythos, and similar citrus-, fruit-, and modern aroma-forward hops.
