Mosaic was developed by the Hop Breeding Company (HBC) from a cross between Simcoe® and the experimental Nugget-derived male variety YCR 14. Bred to combine outstanding aroma intensity with exceptional brewing versatility, Mosaic® inherited tropical fruit characteristics from its unique parentage while developing its own signature blend of berry, citrus, and stone fruit flavors. Since its release in 2012, it has become one of Yakima Chief Hops' flagship varieties and is widely regarded as one of the defining hops of the modern craft beer era.
