Great IPA!
"I just drank the last one yesterday and started my second batch today. This is a very hoppy IPA. The Citra hops give this a grapefruit tasting finish and it smells amazing. I had it in the primary for 7 days, then 3 weeks in the carboy. this took every bit of 4 weeks to bottle condition buy it's worth the wait. If you are somewhere that you can get Thirsty Dog's Citra Dog that is close to what this kit is. However in true Label Peelers fashion Chris kicked the hops through the roof - my favorite beer so far!"
Awesome
"This kit is is great, we have made it 4 times now and we will continue to make this as well as many other Label Peelers kits. The citra hops are super-flavorful and the beer is really smooth."
Outstanding Recipe
"This is one of the best kits that I've ever brewed. It tasted like an all-grain kit, not one hint of the "extract twang" you occasionally get with lesser kits of unknown freshness. The only downside with this brew is that it didn't last long enough in the keg, everybody wanted some once they got a taste. I used the US-05 yeast provided and it worked well. The only deviation from the directions was that I dunk sparged the grain bag in the sparge pot for a few minutes before sparging as usual over the brew pot. After 2 weeks in the primary fermentation bucket I added the dry hops in a hop sock for another week. I typically don't transfer to a secondary unless it's a specialty recipe. After 3 weeks I kegged the brew, waited about 2 weeks @ 12 psi and ended up with a perfect beer. I'll be buying this kit again soon."
