Ingredients
- 6 lbs. Light Dry Malt Extract
- 1 lb. Munich Malt
- 8 oz. Caramel 20L Malt
- 8 oz. Carapils Malt
- 1 oz. Azacca Hops (Bittering)
- 2 oz. Azacca Hops (Flavor)
- 2 oz. Azacca Hops (Aroma)
- 1 Packet of Dry Yeast (SafAle US-05)
- 1 Yeast Energizer / Irish Moss Combo Packet
Hop Schedule
- 1 oz. Azacca Hops (Bittering) - Boil for 60 minutes
- 2 oz. Azacca Hops (Flavor) - Boil for 15 minutes
- 2 oz. Azacca Hops (Aroma) - Boil for 5 minutes
Instructions
1. Begin by steeping the grains in 2-3 gallons of water at 155°F for 30 minutes.
2. Remove the grains from the water and add in your dry malt extract stirring until completely dissolved. Bring your wort up to a boil.
4. Once boiling, add 1 oz. of Azacca hops for bittering and boil for 60 minutes.
5. With 15 minutes left in the boil, add 2 oz. of Azacca hops for flavor. At this point, add the Yeast Energizer / Irish Moss Combo.
6. With 5 minutes left in the boil, add 2 oz. of Azacca hops for aroma.
7. After the boil is complete, cool the wort to 70°F and transfer to a fermenter. Add enough cool water to bring your total volume to 5 gallons.
8. Pitch the yeast and ferment at 68°F for 7-10 days.
9. Bottle or keg the beer and enjoy!
