Crimson Rye IPA Beer Kit Beer Kit is a celebration of bold, spicy, and earthy notes, thanks to the addition of Crystal Rye malt, which elevates the brew's unique spiciness to new heights. Imagine the robust hop profile as a maestro conducting a complex bouquet of pine and citrus, with a distinctive rye sharpness that makes this IPA a deeply flavorful and aromatic masterpiece.
As you embark on your brewing journey, you'll start with 6 lbs of Pale Dry Malt Extract, laying the foundation for a rich and malty backbone. The specialty grains, including 2 lbs of Rye Malt, 1 lb of Munich Malt, and 8 oz of Crystal Malt - 60L, add layers of complexity, enhancing the earthy and spicy notes that define this brew. The hops are where the magic truly happens. With 1 oz of Chinook Hops added at the 60-minute mark, you'll introduce a bold bitterness that sets the stage for the citrusy and floral notes of 1 oz of Centennial Hops at 15 minutes. Finally, 1 oz of Amarillo Hops at 5 minutes brings a burst of citrus aroma that ties the whole experience together.
