Tiny Tank Tread Light Lager Beer Kit - Extract
If you're looking for a beer that delivers crisp refreshment without knocking you flat, the Tiny Tank Tread Light Lager Beer Kit has your back. Designed for flavor-forward session drinking, this light lager brings you a clean, balanced profile with just enough hop character to keep things interesting—all at a highly crushable 3.5% ABV.
Crafted with 6 lbs of Pilsner Dry Malt Extract and 1 lb of Vienna Malt, this recipe lays down a soft malt base that’s light in color (SRM 3) and smooth on the palate. Expect a gentle touch of bready sweetness from the Vienna malt, which plays perfectly with the hop additions.
The hop schedule is where this lager gets its snappy edge. A noble bitterness comes from 1 oz of Hallertau hops at 60 minutes, laying a subtle but firm foundation. Then, Saaz hops—classic for their delicate floral and spicy notes—step in at the 15- and 5-minute marks to add a clean, refreshing finish. At 20 IBU, this beer keeps bitterness in check while still delivering a crisp hop snap that cuts through the malt with precision.
Fermented with two packets of SafLager W-34/70, one of the world’s most reliable lager strains, Tiny Tank Tread Light Lager finishes dry (FG: 1.009) and crystal-clean. You'll get brilliant clarity and a refined mouthfeel that lets every subtle nuance shine through.
Whether you're planning a long afternoon BBQ, a tailgate, or just want something easy-drinking in your fridge, this light lager beer kit is built to perform. It's low in alcohol, light on the palate, but big on character—exactly what you'd expect from a smartly built lager recipe that doesn’t need to shout to be heard.
