*This vessel is ideal for actively fermenting products only. The lid is designed to allow gasses to escape in place of an airlock. Due to this feature it is not recommended for storage purposes and only for use during active fermentation. Some customers prefer to also use cheese cloth along the lid for a somewhat tighter seal.
