Not as consistent as they could be
"I am a producer of a small-batch, all-natural tonic concentrate called NeverClear (https://www.islandtoniccompany.com) and I use these heat shrink capsules to give my bottles a finished look and to provide a safety seal over the closure. I have been using the same brand for 3 years, and they are quick to install, and look very good. However, in the last bag of 500, there were more than 50 where the tear-strip that breaks the seal was quite a bit lower on the capsule than the standard. This creates a condition where even when the seal is broken, you still need to use a knife to cut the rest of the seal off, as it tears the seal below the lug at the top of the bottle. Label Peelers was awesome and replaced the defective capsules immediately. I think this would be a problem on wine bottles as well, but of course, the height of the lug below the top of the bottle would be the determining factor."
