Tired of Painfully Bottling your Wine? Try a Floor Corker!

Modern civilization is never short of things to admire. Before mechanized corkers, corks were inserted into wine bottles using a wooden mallet or hammer to drive the cork into the bottle. This was a time-consuming and labor-intensive process you can thankfully avoid. Still, bottling and corking can be arduous. You owe it to yourself to make it as easy as possible.
If you make a lot of wine and you are tired of being bent over in a chair for hours, you might want to take the plunge. Once you have a floor corker, you'll ask yourself why you waited so long to upgrade. They are easy, fast and efficient. There is no bending or wedging bottles between your feet which you have probably done with hand corkers.
Floor corkers are free-standing and can be operated while seated. They consist of a metal base with a handle and a corking cylinder on top of the base. The corking cylinder is where the cork is inserted. The handle is used to press the cork into the bottle, forming a tight seal. Floor corkers are typically made from stainless steel, making them durable and long-lasting. They are designed with ergonomics in mind, making them easy to operate and comfortable for the user.
There are numerous advantages to floor corkers for winemakers beyond the comfort factor. First and foremost, they are the most efficient way to cork bottles short of an industrial corker. They also provide a tight and secure seal for the bottles, ensuring that the wine stays fresh and free from contamination. Additionally, floor corkers can be adjusted to accommodate various bottle sizes and shapes, allowing the winemaker to use the same machine for multiple bottle types.
Not only do you have the flexibility of different bottle sizes, you can also accommodate more cork sizes and styles. If you want to age your wine for any length of time, floor corkers are a necessity. Bottle aging requires either larger and denser natural corks or synthetics. Neither can be inserted with a hand corker.
Floor corkers are also easy to maintain and resistant to corrosion. Furthermore, they are relatively inexpensive. If you’re a prolific winemaker, you will likely absorb the cost in what you’ll save in painkillers for your sore back.
