"Ordered kit mid-August 2024, received it in 3 days. The kit box came in a slightly larger shipping box and had a date code of April 2024, which is goodness. Only problem - apparently it was severely dropped. The glue joint on the kit box had split open, the shipping box saved the day. Duct tape fixed the kit box until I can get to making the kit. My hint for y'all - let it age in a cool place for a year, you won't be disappointed. The juice bag was still intact, so I look forward to making yet another batch of this fine wine."

"Let me start off by saying, great service as usual by label peelers. It came with four packs of Oak, 1 pack of chips for the primary and three packs of Cubes for aging. The only disappointment was the yeast. With this high of quality a kit, I was expecting a better yeast. It came with EC1118, I opted to use RC212. It tastes pretty okay after 1months of bulk aging, I plan on bulking aging for a year, and then bottle aging for at least another six months."

Very Good At 12 Months
"At 6 months I did not like the taste. At 12 months I thought that the Lodi Ranch 11 Cab. may be, again may be the best kit I made so far in the last 18 months. Just bottled another kit of Lodi Ranch 11 and have another unopened kit. Since I am new at making kit wine I am still evaluating RJS kits as well as Wine Expert kits. Too early to determine which wine I like best. So far have made Lodi Ranch 11 Cab., Stags Leap Merlot, Piedmont Nebbiolo, RJS Valpola, Amarone, RJS Super Tuscan, and a couple Eclipse whites."

"I left this wine for 2+ months on American oak. Just bottled it today and it is very nice at this young stage. Nice deep color. Fruit forward with slight black pepper and oak. Completely drinkable now! Some aging can only add character. Already love this wine!"
