Your journey begins with 7 lbs. of Light Dry Malt Extract, setting the stage for a smooth and balanced foundation. You'll then weave in 1 lb. of Caramel/Crystal Malt (60L) for a touch of sweetness, followed by 8 oz. each of Cara-Pils/Dextrine, Victory Malt, and Chocolate Malt, which add depth, body, and a hint of roasty goodness. The hop profile is where the magic truly happens, as you skillfully incorporate 1 oz. of Warrior Hops for bittering, 2 oz. of Cryo Cascade Hops for flavor, and 2 oz. of Cryo Centennial Hops for an enchanting aroma. Ingredients

Extracts:
- 7 lbs. Light Dry Malt Extract

Specialty Grains: ***Combined into one bag***
- 1 lb. Caramel/Crystal Malt (60L)
- 8 oz. Cara-Pils/Dextrine
- 8 oz. Victory Malt
- 8 oz. Chocolate Malt

Hops: ***Substitutions based on availability***
- 1 oz. Warrior Hops (Bittering)
- 2 oz. Cryo Cascade Hops (Flavor)
- 2 oz. Cryo Centennial Hops (Aroma)
- 1 oz. Cryo Cascade Hops (Dry Hop in Secondary)

Yeast: *Substitutions based on availability***
- 1 Packet of Dry Yeast (SafAle US-05)

Also Included:
- 5 oz. Priming Sugar
- 1 Yeast Energizer / Irish Moss Combo Packet
- Muslin Grain Bag
- 4 oz. American Whiskey Chips (added during secondary fermentation.)

Hop Schedule     

- 1 oz. Warrior Hops (Bittering) - 60 minutes
- 2 oz. Cascade Hops (Flavor) - 10 minutes
- 2 oz. Centennial Hops (Aroma) - 5 minutes

Instructions

1. Heat 2-3 gallons of water to 150°F. 
2. Place grains in a grain bag and steep in the hot water for 30 minutes.
3. Remove the grain bag, spare (rinse) with warm water into the wort, and discard.
4. Add the malt extract and stir until fully dissolved.
5. Bring the wort to a rolling boil. 
6. Add the hops according to the hop schedule
7. Boil for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.
8. At 15 minutes add Yeast Energizer / Irish Moss Combo Packet.
9. Cool the wort to 70°F. An immersion chiller or ice bath works well for this.
10. Transfer the wort to a sanitized fermenter and top off with cold water to 5 gallons. 
11. Pitch the yeast and seal the fermenter. 
12. Ferment at 68-70°F for 5-7 days.
13. Transfer your beer in a sanitized secondary fermenter and add the dry hop addition as well as the 4 oz. Whiskey Chips then continue fermenting for 7-10 days.
14. Transfer to a bottling bucket and stir in 5 oz. priming sugar. Mix until evenly distributed and bottle your beer.
15. Once bottled, allow 2 weeks for carbonation in a cool, dark room. Enjoy!
