Briess Ashburne® Mild Malt 50 lb is a highly kilned specialty base malt that bridges the gap between standard base malts and traditional Munich style malts. Produced from premium North American 2-row barley, it delivers rich malt flavor with notes of toasted bread, biscuit, light nuttiness, and subtle honey. Its deeper kilning creates a fuller malt profile and darker color than standard brewers or pilsner malts while retaining enough enzymatic power to function as a base malt.

In the brewing process, Ashburne® Mild Malt provides a rich malt backbone, enhanced body, and a warm golden to light amber color. It is an excellent choice for brewers looking to build malt complexity in Amber Ales, Brown Ales, Porters, Milds, Scottish Ales, Bocks, Oktoberfests, and other malt-forward styles. It can be used as a primary base malt or blended with lighter base malts to increase malt depth and color.
