Floral and herbal hops lean toward blossom, tea, mint, and soft spice rather than loud fruit. They suit lagers, English ales, Belgian styles, and any recipe where hop aroma should stay elegant.

Hallertau, Hersbrucker, Saaz, Tettnang, UK Kent Goldings, UK Fuggle, Willamette, Crystal, Mt. Hood, Styrian Celeia, and Perle are typical examples; some American varieties also show floral sides depending on use.
