Carboy perfect
"Perfect for my wine making ❤️ it"
Carboy Purchase
"These are great and I’ve used them for years. The purchase with Label Peelers was flawless, however, the packaging was weak and one carboy was badly dented."
Light weight carboy
"This 6-gallon plastic carboy is lightweight and makes a big difference when moving it to siphon."
Beware!
"This carboy does not take a standard #7 carboy bung."
Bungs don't fit!
"I've always used Better Bottle carboys. I tried one of these and I'm not sure if I got a dud or if they're all like the one I have. None of the bungs I have fit snug enough to form a good seal. The neck opening seems a bit too large. The carboy itself is well made, has no ridges to collect sediment and seems quite a bit stronger than Better Bottles. But for now I'm sticking with Better Bottle carboys."
Sturdier than Better Bottle
"I have used Better Bottles for years and have been fairly well satisfied with them. However, I have always been concerned about the way the bottom flexes when lifting them. I have not used the Vintage Shop carboy yet, but it seems far sturdier than the Better Bottle, particularly on the bottom. It does not have ribs on the inside to collect sediment like the Better Bottle does. When I received it, I was concerned about the cloudiness in the bottom and the top. I contacted Vintage Shop and they assured me that the cloudiness was "normal" because of the increased thickness of the plastic in these areas. Anxious to give it a try. The only possible drawback to this over BB is the fact that it is perfectly smooth on the outside which may make it a bit tricky to handle when full, especially if your hands or the carboy are wet."
Decent Carboy
"The carboy is fine works as stated, would have given it 5 stars but the carboy is frosted a little I thought that it would be clear, makes for a hard time checking to see if your beverage is clear."
Great
"It's priced right and the wine coming out of it tastes as good as a glass carboy."
