Lalvin 71B is a great choice for young red wines, blush, and semi-sweet white wines. Also works well with late harvest wines. This high quality yeast was also established to soften wines high in malic acid. This yeast will enhance the fruit character of your wine as well.

Also a popular yeast for mead making, especially fruit meads (melomels) and semi-sweet meads. Pair it with yeast nutrient, since honey is low in nitrogen.

Overall rating: 4.6 / 5 from 10 reviews.

Same yeast.

"71B = 71B-1122. Haven't heard of "71B-1172". Typo?"

packaging states 71B Internet shows 71B-1172

"Packaging is different from previous years; stating only 71B in the front. Directions have lowered the temp of the initial water solution and extended the time before adding to the juice for fermentation. If this is the same product, why are the directions different? Only time will tell if I have used the product I requested and have had good results"
