Munich Malt
Munich malt is a kilned base malt that adds rich color and deep malt character while still contributing fermentable sugars. Expect pronounced bread crust, toast, and warm malt sweetness; it deepens color to golden/amber and builds a fuller body. It has enough enzymatic power to support conversion but is often blended with lighter base malts.
Compared with Vienna, which is lighter and biscuity and toasty, Munich is the most robust, more toasty and caramelized, and usually darker.
