The Reserve Australian Gewurztraminer Wine Kit is a premium winemaking kit designed for the discerning home vintner. This kit produces a distinct and highly enjoyable white wine, characterized by dominant lychee fruit flavors, subtle hints of orange blossom and stone fruit, and a citrusy mouth-filling finish. The wine's aromatic profile, featuring floral notes and a touch of pepper, makes it an excellent pairing for spicy foods or desserts, enhancing the overall dining experience.
The Reserve Australian Gewurztraminer Wine Kit is comprehensive and easy to use. It comes with 10L of juice, enough to make a 6 Gallon batch (23 L), yielding approximately 28-30 standard 750 ml bottles. The resulting wine is off-dry, with a light-medium body, and an alcohol content of 11.5%. There's no oak intensity, allowing the pure, fruity flavors to shine through.

Aging Guidelines for This Wine Kit
Recommended aging: 3 to 6 months after bottling. This wine benefits from time for its flavors and texture to become more harmonious. Begin sampling near three months, allowing richer or oaked styles additional time. For crisp, aromatic varieties, extended aging can reduce fresh fruit and floral character rather than improve the qualities you selected them for.
Overall rating: 4.9 / 5 from 7 reviews.
Reviews
This is the second time
"This is the second time using this kit, the first batch was so good we didn’t want to run out before we had some more on the way."
One of the best!
"This is a kit that is consistent in flavor. This is a choice we have been making for over 5 years. Pairs with almost anything."
Tastes more like a blend
"The wine tastes very good. It just doesn't taste much like a Gewurztraminer. To me it tastes like a blend of Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc."
Yummy, fruit white!
"Made this kit for the first time over the summer. We tried some last night after aging 3 months in the bottle and it’s already delicious! I imagine it will only continue to get better. Will definitely make it again."
Love the fruity but dry
"Love the fruity but dry taste experience- Grapefruit and peach with a lasting feel of being refreshed. The alcohol content is well covered but the effect of it’s presence is also appreciated."
Gewurztraminer
"I have made this wine several times and it is always very good. That's why I continue to keep it in my rotation. When I want to give a bottle to someone this is a good choice. They are always impressed and think that I am an excellent wine maker."
Consistently good as long at it lasted
"This was our second wine kit we ever made. We have three bottles left. It has been consistently good throughout its entire life in our home. The flavor did not change much at all from young to almost 2 years old. Would be a good kit to make so you have something very good to drink as you age your reds and other full-bodied wines."
